I recommend you have a formal consultation with a facial plastic surgeon for an evaluation and facial analysis. Although it is difficult to judge by this photograph alone, you may benefit from an otoplasty. There are different surgical approaches for otoplasty that can be used to improve the proportion, shape, and position of the ear.
Hi there and thanks for your question! Although it is difficult to fully assess your ears without an in-person exam, it appears that you would benefit from an otoplasty. An otoplasty is an out-patient procedure that can be done in about 30 minutes under a light anesthesia. I have my patients wear a compression band 24/7 for 1 week and then nightly for 3 weeks. I suggest seeing a plastic surgeon for an in-person consultation. Best of luck!
Hello and thank you for your question. Thebest advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation. Based onyour photographs, you may benefit from an otoplasty. Make sure you specifically lookat before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgeryperformed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. The mostimportant aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommendthat you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon whocan evaluate you in person.Best wishes and good luck.Richard G. Hi there and thanks for your question! It appears that you have a spitting suture behind your ear after your otoplasty. Although the sutures should dissolve over a few weeks to months, the body can sometimes "spit" the superficial sutures to the surface of the skin. These can be trimmed by y...
