It is best to ask your surgeon about post operative care as each doctor has their unique regimen.   Everybody has a different perception of pain and only your doctor knows what was really done during your surgery. 

Your doctor should have provided you with specific instructions as to when the stitches can come out of your strip scar. It's best to avoid heavy exercise at the gym for a few months to avoid stretching of the strip scar. 

Your sutures should likely come out 7-10 days after the surgery.  No heavy lifting for 2 weeks.  Apply an antibiotic ointment to the suture line.

Apply bacitracin or similar ointment to the donor area. The stitches are usually removed a week post surgery. You can resume physical exercise a few weeks after your procedure but consult your physician for additional information.

Any pain usually goes away in 1-2 weeks, worse only for a few days and gets better over time. Just be patient.
