Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Melarase AM, Melarase PM, and Melapads can seriously improve surface sun damage and UV related pigmentation. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery. Best,Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon
PRP with microneedling is a great treatment for acne scars and enlarged pores. I recommend 3-6 sessions of optimal results. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!
Hello,Thank you for your question. PRP injections allow us to use our own healing mechanisms to restore and replenish tissue injury and can even be helpful for hair restoration. However, for acne scarring, there are better alternatives to restoring the skin. Some treatments to consider include TCA cross, subscision, Bellafill injections, CO2 laser, and even chemical peels. These treatments in combination with one another will greatly improve your acne scarring and promote a healthy, smooth appearance. Do your research and schedule a consultation to discuss your options with a licensed dermatologist or cosmetic physician! All the best.
Hi, thank you for your question! Yes, PRP injections paired with Microneedling will help with acne scarring and large pores. We recommend having at least 3 sessions spread out every 6-8 weeks. Microneedling, or collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive skin-rejuvenation procedure involving using a device containing fine needles. The needles are used to puncture the skin gently to create a controlled skin injury. Each puncture creates a channel that triggers the body to fill these microscopic wounds by producing new collagen and elastin. Through this process, there is an improvement in skin texture and firmness, as well as a reduction in acne, scars, pore size, and stretch marks.
Hello! Yes, PRP can definitely help with acne scarring. But I think you will get much better results if you combine it with microneedling with RF.
PRP is a great add-on to help minimize your acne scars and pore size. We recommend Morpheus8 to treat both. It is a Radio Frequency and Microneedling device. This fractional treatment penetrates deep into the skin for ultimate skin resurfacing and remodeling of collagen. This improves the texture of your skin and helps minimize acne scars, for a smoother and tighter (pore size) appearance. Adding PRP and exosomes will enhance your results. It can also decrease downtime, stimulate collagen, and reduce scars.
Hello, for acne scarring we recommend vivace. Vivace is fractional microneedling with radio frequency. It helps rebuild the collagen in the skin. PRP or stem cells can be added for best results. Multiple treatments will be needed. Good luck!
