I’m trying to decide between kybella or cool sculpting. I don’t know if Lipo would be better because of my age. I went for a consultation to a local derm, who doesn’t do lipo, that eithe the kybella or coolsculping would work but left the choice to me. I’m so confused.

Hello and thank you for your question. I would recommend doing face tight for your neck and jaw. This procedure will help with reducing the fat and tightening. It is done with radio frequency and lipo suction on the neck and jaw area.

Hello, Thank you for your question. Based on what can be seen you would be a candidate for either treatment. We see a lot more swelling and discomfort with Kybella. Over all Coolsculpting seems to be easier on a patient and it produces great results. In our office we start with Coolsculpting and then spot treat with Kybella if necessary. Good luck!

I would lean toward Cool Mini to help tighten your neck. Keep in mind that Kybella really requires a series of 4-5 treatment sessions to get any substantial result. And each session comes along with days of swelling and even pain in some cases. Consult with a Coolsculpting specialist near you.

Thankfully we live in a time where the not so pleasant things that have been passed down can be addressed.  It's difficult to tell from your photos exactly what the ideal solution(s) or combination of solutions would be best for you.  Often times, for best results, we combine treatments--Cool Mini initially to debulk an area and then Kybella to further refine the area and contour it.   Sometimes we leave our patients confused by offering them multiple options instead of just one...we don't do this to intentionally confuse people. Thank you for your question. It's difficult to tell from your pictures if you're a candidate for a Coolmini. Coolmini is a great alternative to undergoing an invasive procedure, such as liposuction. There is no down time, no risk of infection and you can achieve up to a 40% reduction with a retreatment of the same area. It’s difficult to tell from your pictures. I would suggest seeking a certified CoolSculpting center near you and getting an in-depth consultation to see if you’re a good candidate for CoolSculpting. The treatment would help rid of fat deposits under the chin and contour your jawline. It is a non-invasive procedure with no down time and for you. I would recommend re-treatments to get maximum results. I do see some skin laxity in your submental area, but recently CoolSculpting has been FDA cleared to improve the appearance of under the chin skin laxity. Best of luck!
