I am completely flat and want small and natural increase. Went to my first appointment and the doctor measured my non existing breast’s to be 12.5cm wide. Because of that width he said the smallest he would go is mentor cpg 321 315cc. I have booked the surgery in November but I’m starting to freak out it’s too big. I have friends with 245cc who has the look I want to achieve. I called the doctor and asked if I could Go down to 280 but he won’t let me cause it’s 11,5 cm and it would look weird:(
Answer: Breast Implant Sizing This is a tough question and ultimately circles back to what I believe is the most important piece to any surgeon patient relationship, trust. I recommend that you work with a surgeon who you see as a good fit for your needs and someone who you resonate with. Breast base width is a very important measurement when selecting breast implants. That said, base width is one measurement amongst others that go into implant selection. I personally do not rule out a breast implant size on base width alone. It also depends what projection you plan to use because you can have a similar base width implant that is smaller volume by using a less projecting implant. Most important is that what you see as your desired breast size after surgery is the same that your surgeon sees. For example what you think is a "C" cup breast is also what your surgeon sees as a "C" cup breast. All this said, your surgeon is doing a good job planning by using your natural body dimensions to help select breast implant size! Another option if you are not looking for a large change in volume is to use your own fat, if available, to naturally increase the size of your breasts without the use of implants or with implants to soften the transition between the implants and your upper chest. This can be discussed on a case by case basis.

Answer: Implant size Dear Diligent174312, breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals. Answer: Breasts Either size should do well for you. However, I suggest calling and asking to try on both sizes so you can see and feel the difference. Also, this surgery is for you and not for your surgeon. If you want smaller, go smaller. Going larger does not always work well.

Answer: Implant selection It's difficult to compare you with your friends. Each patient is unique and a given implant can look very different person to person. You said this was your first consultation. You may wish to visit with a few board certified plastic surgeons and hear varying opinions to help you make a more informed decision.

Answer: Breast implant volume? It all depends on how big you want to be; in order to achieve a full B cup, I believe that an implant in the range of 250 ml. would be appropriate. The moderate plus implant would, probably, achieve the result you want. However, that needs to be a decision between you and your surgeon. Second-opinion consultation may be considered. Breast implant sizers are helpful and should be used. Good luck.

Answer: You can decrease profile First off, you don't know that 245cc will give you the look your friend has--she started with a different amount of breast tissue and a different chest wall than you to begin with (unless she is your identical twin!). That being said, you shouldn't go into a breast augmentation not feeling confident about the sizing--you can decrease the size of the implant while still using an implant that is wide enough by choosing an implant with a lower profile.
