Which treatment is best for my sagging eyelids? (Photo)

I am 23 years old and it has been a year since I started to notice sagging in my eyelids. There is a local doctor offering plasmage as treatment I wounder if it will work for me and what are its risks ? And are there any alternatives other than blepharoplasty?

Thank you for sharing your question. No treatment option is as effective as Blepharoplasty in removing the extra skin from the upper eyelids. Sometimes, this can be performed in conjunction with laser skin resurfacing in order to give the skin a better texture. There are other options than blepharoplasty to improve extra upper eyelid skin.  These include laser treatments to tighten the skin and botox or dysport to help lift the brow.  I would recommend consulting with someone that performs surgical and non-surgical treatments to see what is best for you.

Thank you for your question.  Botox would be a non surgical option to try and raise your eyebrow to make the appearance of less heaviness.  If you have loose skin and puffiness then surgery would the only option to remove.  Extra skin and fat on the upper eyelid can cause the eyes to feel and look tired. Taken to the extreme, the extra skin can hang so much that it can hamper your vision and cause discomfort.  If you look tired when you're not, and can’t put eye shadow or mascara due to excess skin covering your eyelids, then you can benefit from upper eyelid lift or Upper Blepharoplasty.  
Please make sure you find a reputable and qualified plastic surgeon who can assess you properly to give you a realistic idea of what outcome you can achieve.  All The Best

Thanks for your question!  While blepharoplasty is still the best option for sagging upper lids, there are some treatments, such as ThermiSmooth, that will help to tighten the skin and tissues without surgery.  Because you are only 23 years old, I would look into an option like that first.  Good luck!

Thanks for your question! Upper eyelid blepharoplasty is the easiest cosmetic procedure that I perform. It is simply removal of a pinch of skin from the upper eyelid. The incision is in the crease so it is invisible when your eyelids are open and heals quickly. It is long lasting and I often see patients that had upper blepharoplasty 20 or more years previously and still have great results. Your photo suggests that you have excess skin of the upper eyelids, but a complete exam would be required to confirm the diagnosis and rule out any other issues. Hi and thanks for your question.  Evaluation is best with your eyes open but even with your eyes closed you do look like you have a little bit of excess upper eyelid skin.  You would have to be evaluated for any ptosis as well since that could contribute to the appearance of sagging eyelids.  In these cases, blepharoplasty really is the only/best way of treating this.  Any nonsurgical means would leave you disappointed.  Good luck!

I am familiar with plasmage but I am very familiar with blepharoplasty which would the approach that I would reccommend.  blepharoplasty (particular uppers ) is usually a relative straightforward non complicated procedure ).
