The bump was caused from trauma from basketballs and volleyballs hitting my nose when i was younger, i have had horrible migraine since sustaining it and have recently noticed trouble breathing out of the nostril the bump is located over. I am wondering if this is something that would need to be corrected by sugery, a dr i went to for it before just touched it quickly and said to just hold my nose for an hour a day to correct the bump, but it is bone and cartilage and it has not helped but hurt

Answer: Rhinoplasty to change shape and help breathing...
It's always best to fix outside and inside problems at the same time with the nose. We take insurance for the inside, but the rhinoplasty for the outside is considered cosmetic. Be sure to see a rhinoplasty specialist for consultation.
While it's hard to give a full evaluation without full side views, from your photos, you are a good candidate for rhinoplasty. The tip can be made thinner and lifted up to be shorter. The bumps can be smoothed out as well. Be sure to see a rhinoplasty specialist for consultation.
Hi there. Thank you for your question. Did you undergo any kind of nasal surgery? Swelling can take a year to subside. If you did not undergo surgery, factors such as anatomy, infection, medications, and tissue structure may affect nose shape.
