My hair growth is spiky after treatment. Is there a reason, and how can I overcome it?

Hello .... I had a FUE procedure done about a year ago. I continue to feel spiky hair growth int hat area (as if it were a day old stubble) for the past 7 months. It doest grow beyond that state. Is there a reason? and how can i overcome this problem. It seems like the hair growth has been arrested of sort. Thanks

The stubble you feel may be old transplanted hair that never fell out.  Like a thorn in your scalp, except it is hair.  You can have a friend find one of these tiny spiky hair and try to gently tug on it.  If it is the old transplanted hair, it will slide right out.    It is always a good idea to follow up with your doctor for a recheck.

The spikes you may be feeling are remnants of the original hair grafts and the hairs that come out from them. Good washing should accelerate their fall out.  Go back to your surgeon if this does not work

If the direction of the incisions in the recipient area are not done correctly it will grow out pointing straight up.  Unfortunately you are stuck with it.

Hairs arested in growth due to trauma, and this can be helped by using topical minoxidil and waiting at least four months.2.
