I have fat upper eyelids, can my problem be solved with weight loss? (Photo)

I've been poking around trying to determine some causes of my eyelid issues. I'm 21 and from a young age my eyes have always been uneven, and hooded. As I've grown older the area above my eyelids have become very fat. I think it is genetic, but I am also overweight. They've been hooded and heavy when I was thinner. Through weight loss will the forehead/eyelid area lose fat? The heaviness of my eyelids is becoming very irritating, and I'm having trouble keeping my eyes open all the way. Thanks!

You can have eyelid surgery at any age. Weight loss will not reduce the heaviness in your lids. So go for it! It will feel less heavy and full, will look great, and will make you feel more confident.

It is very frequent in person of your age to have upper eyelids that look like yours. It is one of the features of the youth. In same cases this can be conservatively corrected with surgery. In person consultation  with an experienced board certified plastic surgeon is recommended. Good luck.

You are very young. Judging just by the pictures submitted it seems
that your upper eyelids fullness is part of your normal anatomy.
We are ll assymetric to diferent degrees and in your case it falls in
the normal range. Weight loss will be unlikely to reduce the fullnes.
Have an evaluation by an experience board certified plastic surgeon

Hello and thank you for your photos. You have an inherited fullness in your upper eyelids that will not change significantly with weight loss. You also appear to have a mild amount of ptosis or droopiness in your upper lid which is a medical condition that reduces your visual field. This is seen more dramatically in your left eye than the right. You would greatly benefit from an eye exam with taped and untaped visual field exams to determine the extent of your ptosis and further understand your options.
