Ok so I am really considering VASER LIPO on the upper arms. I HATE my arms and they really get me down. It doesn’t matter how I exercise or diet they don’t budge and have always been out of proportion to my body. My waist is tiny and I’m a size 12. I usually have to get the size up in long sleeved tops as my arms are so big! Will Vaser be a good option to me? I am worried about sagging skin. But I am not sure what I can do? I cannot take the time out for a full arm lift? Please advise :-(
Answer: Treatment options pro and cons : Vaser Lipo and/or Arm lift (Brachioplasty) Hello, Thanks for your question. According to the picture you are borderline candidate between arm lift (brachioplasty) and/or vaser lipo. It is important to know your age, medical history including smoking status, history of significant weight fluctuations etc. The key here is also to understand what you would like to achieve, what are your expectations. if you are happy to have more invasive procedure (Brachioplasty) with some larger scars but better results or less invasive procedure (Vaser Lipo with eventually combination with J plasma-Renuvion) with satisfactory results depending of your skin elasticity/ skin retraction. In my clinical practice, if a patient refuses to undergo for brachioplasty surgery due to the scars, then after a careful assessment, if she is still suitable for Vaser lipo ,then it is important a combined protocol including J plasma (Renuvion), compression garment, manual lymphatic drainage sessions after the surgery and healthy diet and exercise can also help with skin retraction and reduce the risk of saggy skin. I would strongly suggest to make a consultation with an expert Vaser/ body contouring surgeon for a medical/surgical assessment in order to consider the best suitable treatment. Hope this help, Best Wishes, Dr Giuseppe Fiore, MD

Answer: VASER Lipo for the upper arms It appears there is a little too much skin excess in your case for VASER lipo alone. You would get a better result from an arm lift. I know there is extra recovery involved and a scar to accept but lipo on its own risks even more skin laxity in your case.

Answer: Vaser Liposuction to Arms VS Brachioplasty Thank you for your question and pictures. I believe that Vaser Liposuction would be the wrong procedure for yourself and you would end up with just an 'ok' result. It appears you have some fat and loose skin which needs to be removed. If you just performed the Vaser Liposuction then you would be left with a lot of skin laxity which would shrink a little but it wouldn't give you that lovely slender contour. Brachioplasty would the best procedure to give a lovely tight and slimming arm. The only downside is you do place the lose skin with a scar which does go from your armpit to elbow. This will take about 12-18 months to fade. Please do have a consultation with a board certified surgeon. All The Best

Answer: Best Treatment Plan to Contour the Upper Arms Based on your photos, it appears you have a substantial amount of skin laxity in addition to isolated fat in the area. I would likely recommend a combination of liposuction to remove the fat and ThermiTight to restore firmness to the skin. Vaser lipo is one option, but it is not the only one. I offer patients the Awake lipo technique, which can be performed using local anesthesia and only requires a few days of recovery time. ThermiTight is a nonsurgical treatment that uses tiny probes inserted into the dermal layers to deliver radiofrequency energy deep in the tissue. The RF energy heats the area, constricting tissue and telling the body to produce more collagen. The result is smoother, firmer skin in the weeks and months following your treatment. While you might not get quite the tightening you would with a surgical procedure, you also avoid significant downtime as well as a very long and noticeable incision down the length of your upper arm.

Answer: Good candidate for Vaser liposuction of arms In my experience, Vaser ultrasound liposuction removes stubborn arm fat and tightens skin. This avoids an arm lift scar in proper candidates and can restore proportions. An exam and consultation with a plastic surgeon who performs these procedures is recommended to confirm you are a candidate as well as discuss your options and expectations.
