I had classic liposuction 1,5 year ago, but Im not satisfied with the results. For this year and a half i tried a lot of non/minimal invasive procedures such as prp, body threads, cryolipolysis, mesotherapy, lypolitic.... but nothing really helps. I'm very disappointed with unevenness of the abdomen and especially with that depression on the top. Im thinking now to do another procedure, but is it better for me to do Vaser or BodyTite? In my country there is no combined vaser/bodytite procedure.

Answer: Choosing the correct procedure body tight is a skin tightening radiofrequency treatment often done at the same time as liposuction. VASER is an ultrasound assisted device used immediately before liposuction to help remove fat more aggressively. They are two totally different technologies and should not be compared. For people who have skin laxity adding a body tight can give slightly better results. The only variable that matters is who does your procedure. Find a plastic surgeon who is done thousands of liposuction cases with a proven track record of consistently delivering top-notch results and you’ll be fine. Regardless of equipment any provider who doesn’t know what they’re doing is going to put you at risk of having an undesirable outcome. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD

Answer: Vaser liposuction vs BodyTite Hi and welcome to our forum! From your photos, it appears that there appears to be a significant residual abdominal fat repository present. Vaser liposuction utilizes ultrasound to semiliquify the fatty tissue into which it comes into contact, facilitating easier removal with a liposuction cannula. BodyTite utilizes radio-frequency energy to tighten skin by stimulating collagen production, often performed in conjunction with liposuction. The type of liposuction is not as important as the experience and expertise of the surgeon behind the instrument. Seek an experienced board certified plastic surgeon. Look at his / her before and after pictures. 15% of cosmetic procedures require a secondary touchup. Best wishes...
