Loss of native hairs on untreated area after hair transplant

 It is normal to shed hairs after a hair transplant in untreated areas around the transplanted areas and these will begin to grow after a few months.

You will lose your transplanted hair as well as some of your native hair weeks after surgery. You may look WORSE before it starts to look better. It may take 6 to 12 months to see the results of a hair transplant surgery. It is always a good idea to follow up with your doctor for a recheck if you have concerns.

Losing hair in the other neighboring areas os scalp is not unusual, especially if you are not using any hair loss medication after your hair transplant.  This condition is called shock loss and used to be a more common problem after hair transplant surgeries. Shedding
