They are most likely scabs or dried up grafts.  They are most likely scabs but it would be difficult to tell as some do look like dried up grafts.

By 12 days post procedure the follicles are fully incorporated into the scalp.What you are seeing is a scab with an associated shaft of hair,not a follicle which is the "seed" for a new hair.

These hairs will sooner or later shed. They are never a problem for new hairs that start to grow. Usually, there is a lag time between the time the hairs shed (2-8 weeks) and the time the new hair grows (3-8 months). IF for any reason, there is an overlap between the two, pay no attention to it for when the new hair grows, the old hairs from the grafts that may persist beyond 8 weeks, will eventually shed

Thank you for asking this question.Scabbing is a very normal phenomenon. I am sure you might been given all the information of about how the transplant will go post-procedure by the Plastic surgeon. You need not do anything intentionally to get rid of the scabs. As an as you do the head wash, the scabs will be washed out by itself. Please don’t pluck it out intentionally. Some hair coming out with the scabs or crust is normal too as you are already in the hair shedding phase. There is nothing to be alarmed about.
