Dissolving lip filler and addressing the ridge is a viable option. Hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved using hyaluronidase, which breaks down the hyaluronic acid and helps reduce or eliminate the filler. However, if the filler used was not hyaluronic acid-based, dissolving it might not be as straightforward.

For non-hyaluronic acid fillers, such as calcium hydroxylapatite (e.g., Radiesse) or poly-L-lactic acid (e.g., Sculptra), dissolving is not typically an option. In these cases, additional filler elsewhere in the face might help balance the appearance, but it's crucial to choose a filler that complements the existing facial structure.

Adding more filler to other areas of the face can help distract from the ridge or improve overall facial aesthetics. However, given concerns about thinning lips with age, it might be beneficial to consider lip augmentation with a hyaluronic acid filler, which can be more easily adjusted or dissolved if needed.

Consultation with a dermatologist or plastic surgeon is recommended to assess the best course of action based on the type of filler used and individual facial anatomy.

It is possible that some filler still remains even after you have had a dissolving treatment. Return to a reputable injector to determine if some filler is present that can be dissolved. Sometimes filler treatment can give long-term results that are permanent or semi-permanent that are not the results of remaining HA product.
We don’t really know why this happens or what the ideology is, but it is most likely caused by inflammation that can cause scar tissue to form .
At this point Reversing the filler is probably pointless because it’s unlikely you have any filler left in your lips.
More volume isn’t going to decrease the ridge along your Vermillion border.
I don’t see an easy solution to your problem.
