Will "drop and fluff" correct sagging off bottom of implant? (photo)

It appears that your implants are sitting very high at this time. However, it is important to remember that you are still early in your healing process. Your final result will not become apparent for several months, as the implants can continue to drop and settle for several weeks to several months after the procedure. Once your implants drop to their final position, your nipple position will improve. If recommended by your doctor, there are a few ways to help your high implant position, such as massage and the use of a surgical bandeau.  In the meantime, I recommend that you follow up with your surgeon to discuss your options.

Thank you for your question and photograph.  After placement of implants, the overall appearance of the breasts will change dramatically over the next several months, as the implants drop, and the overlying tissue stretches to accommodate the extra volume.  At a week out from surgery, your implants are being held tightly against your rib cage creating an elevated and flat look.  As the swelling in your tissues resolves, and your muscle relaxes, you should see a gradual improvement in your breast appearance to leave with a more natural look.  I know waiting is difficult, but judge your results at 4-6 months after surgery as most of your breast changes should have occurred by then.  Hope this helps. 

Thanks for your inquiry,  your implants will fall and as they drop and fluff, they will recruit the lower pole skin.  I do not want to comment on the expectation you discussed with your surgeon because I was not there, but there is a lot of changes to come, good luck.

Without an examination or photos, it is difficult to answer your question. At one week after surgery, there is still a great deal of swelling present and the implants have not settled. I generally recommend not making any conclusions regarding results until this process is completed, which takes several months. In my practice, there are frequently patients who are borderline in requiring a mastopexy, but wish to avoid it. Most of the time, they will achieve a good result with augmentation alone, however occasionally a lift may eventually required. The results in that case are as good or better than if done initially.

Hello, if your breast augmentation was only a week ago, the breasts will likely change for months to come.  If the breasts were sagging prior to surgery it will typically take time for the implants to drop and make the lower breasts look fuller.  Your surgeon can follow this along with you.

However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively.At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues around the implants are still swollen. I would totally expect this appearance at 1 week! It sounds like everything is healing normally. I would expect you to see a tremendous improvement in the appearance of the skin on your breasts in the next month, but it will continue to improve for a total of 3-6 months. on your recent surgery. The photo you provided appears to demonstrate high riding breast implants. This is not unusual at this point in time.  The process of breast healing after augmentation involves remodeling of the
soft tissues as the "drop and fluff" phenomenon occurs, over a span of 3 months or so. One breast
may fall into position faster than the other. I recommend that
you continue followup with your surgeon, allowing more time to heal
(usually 6 months).  If required, a minor revision will correct the
problem.

Generally speaking, breast implants will "drop" into the pocket that was created during surgery and massaging the implants downward may assist in the dropping of the implants after surgery (for those patients who want to help with the settling of the implants). The rate of breast implant "settling" may depend on factors such as size of breast implant pocket dissected, tightness of the overlying skin/muscle layers, and size of breast implant utilized. 
Normally, it takes about 3-6 months (for some patients longer) to see the final result. It is very common for one side to settle faster than the other.
 As breast implants "settle", they tend to round out the lower breast poles. As this occurs, the nipple/areola complexes seem higher on each breast mound.
Again, best to follow your plastic surgeon for more specifics. Best wishes for an outcome that you will be pleased with long-term.

Hi dear, thank you for your question.It is really early to judge for a final result so I recommend waiting at least six more weeks but keep in mind that such high size of implant may affect the breast tissue elasticity and can make them drop a little..
