Juvederm has migrated to my neck and spine from my cheeks. Is this dangerous?

Juvederm has migrated to my neck and spine, I can hear the squelching sound when I move my neck and the back and it is definitely it as its the exact same sound of when the filler was put into my cheeks... I am obviously a bit concerned, what do I do and could this prose a problem to my health??

It is possible for Juvederm to migrate but it is very unlikely that it has traveled to your neck and spine from your cheeks. Your body will naturally break down the product and should be dissolved in 6-12 months.  If you are concerned i would book an appointment with your doctor or injector to discuss.

Thank you for your question.  While Juvederm can and does migrate a little bit, I would be very surprised if it migrated that far down to your neck and spine.  The good news is Juvederm will naturally dissolve with time as your body breaks down the hyaluronic acid.  If you have a serious concern contact Allergan directly as they are the manufacturers of Juvederm.  Also ask the injector to evaluate you.  Best of luck to you

While I don't know how much Juvederm was injected, It is highly unlikely that uvederm injected into your cheeks would migrate to you neck and spine. I would rcommend that you voice your concerns with your doctor. Juvederm absorbs after approximately six months.I can't stress enough how important it is to have your injectable treatments performed by an expert injector. Board certified plastic surgeons are trained to appreciate your facial aesthetics and anatomy, understand how to choose the appropriate products for you, understand injection techniques and pitfalls, and are competent in treating complications. There are times when non- invasive treatments are effective, and times when surgery is the best answer. Your plastic surgeon is generally the individual best qualified to answer this question.
