Dear Reliable809767,it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Axillary breast removal will not lift the breasts. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Recommend that you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to determine if liposuction might improve the situation or if a direct excision is needed. The armpit procedure can be combined with a breast lift.
Accessory axillary breast tissue is pretty common. Axillary breast tissue can either be removed with direct excision or at times with liposuction; it does not lift the breast. A breast lift is a separate cosmetic procedure. The two procedures may be performed at the same time in appropriate candidates.
Axillary tissue removal will not lift the breast. Routinely at the time of breast lift or reduction, I dissect and remove this area for cosmetic reasons. The technique I recommend is The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.
Axilary Breast tissue resection will not have any impact on your breast. If your breast is saggy and need a lift, that must be done and of course it can be done at the same time of the axillary gland resection. Be encouraged!!Dr. Cardenas
No, removing axillary breast tissue will not really lift the breast. A breast lift is a procedure that removes excess skin and repositions the nipple higher. There are different types of breast lifts depending on the degree of sagging to be corrected. Visit with a board certified plastic surgeon near you to learn more.
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, an axillary breast procedure (either via direct excision or liposuction) will not also help to lift the breast and should be thought of as a separate surgical procedure. Oftentimes axillary breast tissue is a concern to breast surgery patients and can be addressed at the same time as a breast lift or breast reduction for example. If you are interested in learning more about your options, I would recommend scheduling a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon. I hope that this helps!
Axillary tissue removal, which is covered by insurance in most cases, should not be performed in conjunction with breast reduction or lift. The removal of this tissue may relieve some discomfort but would not lift the breasts. Best wishes.
