Will an arm lift help for crepey loose skin on a lean person?

It’s difficult to say too much without photos but an armlift may be beneficial especially if your skin has very little tone. The scar from an armlift is not small so you are the only one who can say if the contour improvement is worth the scar. I would recommend seeing a board-certified PS to see some before and after photos so you can determine if the procedure is worth it. Best regards. 

The arm lift will remove much of the loose skin, but will not help the or quality of the skin. Fortunately, the brachioplasty skin which is removed is the very skin you are talking about. Much of the thicker skin which is usually in better condition, is retained.

It depends on where the loose skin is occurring and how crepey the skin has become. In my experience, arm lift does help and whatever is left behind can be treated with a collagen builder like  Sculptra. It's similar to treating cellulite in the video below.

If there is excess skin, the arm lift will help.  Many patients come in with sun damaged crepey skin with which surgery may not be indicated.  If there is poor elasticity, treatments such as microneedling, radiofrequency or combinations may help to improve the collagen and elasticity of the skin.During the consultation, the plastic surgeon can best advise whether surgery or non-surgical modalities (or both) would be ideal.

CAST Liposuction combined with minibrachioplasty produces excellent upper arm contour
Liposuction for upper arm contouring can produce excellent results in individuals with good skin laxity. I recommend the Circumferential para-Axillary Superficial Tumescent (CAST) technique for upper arm contouring. The use of tumescent anesthesia, micro cannula, and meticulous post operative care maximizes skin retraction and can give excellent improvement. If there is skin laxity, a brachioplasty may be required to tighten the skin. The minibrachioplasty is ideal for correcting the loose skin in the upper third of the inner arm. An ellipse of skin is removed from the axilla (arm pit) and the thin skin of the upper inner arm is advanced and tightened. The scar generally heals well and is well hidden, allowing you to wear short sleeves and sleeveless blouses. 
 I generally try to avoid performing a full Brachioplasty unless the skin is extremely loose. In such cases the resulting improvement in the contour of the arm can be dramatic, but the scars are difficult to hide.

Hi jasmine1221, Thank you for your question regarding an arm lift on a person with creepy, loose arm skin. The simple answer is "probably yes". Before you undergo an arm lift, it is very important to be examined to be examined by an experienced, board certified plastic surgeon who has performed hundreds of arm lifts.  Most patients seeking to undergo an arm lift have excess arm skin and arm fat.  However, about 20% of my practice just have excess arm skin. Since you have excess arm skin and not much excess arm fat, I seriously doubt arm liposuction will help. However,  it's impossible to determine what arm surgery you require without a physical examination or pictures. Thank you for your question regarding loose, creepy arms skin in a lean person. Without photographs it is difficult to give you an accurate answer. In general however if the problem is loose skin only a brachioplasty would be the best choice. You will have to make a decision as to whether you prefer the skin laxity or the scar that will result after the brachioplasty. Good luck

It is best for you to post some photos. Yes arm lifting can help skin excess but you always need to weigh up the pros and cons of having a scar vs the skin excess you have. Best to consult with a PS who can show you pics of before and afters so that you can be empowered to proceed.
