Had a tummy tuck in 2020 it was horrible. The mounds area is protruding and hard and the lower left pushes forward too. In 2021 the same doctor was “fixing it” but he only attempted to fix the right side not the left side that was bulging. It looks slightly worse. The dr also attempted an upper stomach scar revision during tummy tuck and again in 2021 which is far worse than original. It’s depressed and thin, can’t feel tissue under scar. Did the blood circulation get destroyed by the revision?
Answer: Tummy tuck issues I'm sorry to hear all the issues you are having since your tummy tuck. I recommend an in person evaluation for a second opinion by a board certified plastic surgeon. It appears the mons area could be improved with some liposuction. Further scar revision may be necessary to improve the appearance of the scars.

Answer: Tummy tuck results Dear Intellectual949250, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Abdominoplasty issues I'm not sure what happened with the abdominal scar revision. It is rare that they spread and thin out (without steroid injection), but it can happen to any surgeon. The mons pubis is too thick and should be liposuctioned (or skin removed) to camouflage it in clothing. A physical exam is required to answer your questions more accurately. Dr. Taranow

Answer: Tummy tuck results To assess the outcome of a cosmetic operation we need to see proper before and after pictures. If you’ve had revision surgery then ideally you should present before and after pictures for both procedures. If you don’t have proper before and after pictures you should ask your surgeon to forward the ones they took. It’s not really possible to give you a quality assessment based on an online post. If you want a proper second opinion consultation I suggest scheduling those with other local board-certified plastic surgeons. For a second opinion consultations patients should come prepared by bringing with them all before and after pictures and copies of previous operative reports. Those are all available from your surgeons office if you request them. Having an open gallbladder incision can make having a tummy tuck a bit more difficult.Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
