I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.

I'm sorry to hear of your surgeon's response to your issues. This situation needs to be followed and treated by a physician until it is healed. If your surgeon will not address it I encourage you to visit with another board certified plastic surgeon near you for care.

Your infection is the responsibility of your plastic surgeon. He or she is obligated to see you through until you are healed and the infection has cleared. this may require further surgery and ongoing wound care.
Cultures should have been taken and you may need to remain on anabiotic‘s for a while.
If your plastic surgeon fails to manage your complication then consider finding another plastic surgeon to help you through until you’re all healed.
