Will a laser procedure remove this spot? (Photos)

Question

I’m going back in a week but I feel it’s a waste of my time and money. Also, I am now worried that why did it not go away with the laser treatment. Could this be cancerous? I asked.t lmy dermatologist a couple of times but he doesn’t seem to care. What should I do? I’m really worried now!!!

It is difficult to determine the nature of the spot from the photo provided. What I can say is that it is not a good idea to simply obliterate or remove any kind of growth that has a clearly uncertain nature without sending the removed portion for a biopsy to determine for certain whether the spot is benign or malignant. 
If malignant (and not sent out for biopsy), the growth can recur later more invasively and aggressively and potentially with very seriousl consequences resulting from the delay in diagnosis. You would be wise to make sure to consult with a board certified cosmetic dermatologist who is both able to determine whether a biopsy is necessary and suggest a cosmetic approach should s/he determine that the spot is harmless.
