It’s important to not aggravate the condition and this can happen during stress, hypoxic states and during certain surgical procedures.

The first step is to talk to a hematologist if you have one then run it by him or her. Most likely you’ll need clearance from that person for the plastic surgeon.
If you don’t have a hematologist you’ll probably need to find someone to give you hematology clearance.

It would also be a good idea whether this is done with local anesthesia or general anesthesia to have an anesthesiologist on board to monitor you during the procedure but this may vary from each providers opinion and view.

You should also have a few in person consultations to make sure you’re a good candidate for the procedure in the first place.

It doesn’t make sense to undergo surgical procedures with increase medical risk for patients who are not good candidates for a procedure.
