Is a small fat-contained inguinal hernia in the groin a contraindication to lipo/BBL?

If your medical doctor and general surgeon feel that it is safe to proceed with liposuction in the presence of a small hernia, you should be able to proceed with caution. I would recommend that you discuss the risks with your plastic surgeon and obtain a CT scan to plan for the surgery properly.

it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Generally speaking, it is possible to do liposuction with inguinal hernia. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

Some plastic surgeons are comfortable doing liposuction with significant hernias in place and others are not. I would imagine most plastic surgeons would be comfortable doing liposuction but it depends on the size of the hernia.

The process is still the same. Patients need to go through interviewing plastic surgeons to help find the appropriate provider and that’s the time to find out how each individual provider feels about working with someone who has a hernia.

It doesn’t matter what a plastic surgeon says on realself what matters is hottest provider feel who’s going to do your procedure.
