I’m a 22 year old Female I’m 5,5 And weigh about 125 I fractured my nose, seven years ago due to falling into a dresser during moving to my new current location now. Had no time to fix it in that 14 day Period but always felt like it deformed my nose And always made me have stuffy nose while I sleep

Absolutely you can work on the functional part of the nose internally while improved the cometic appearance at the same time. It's actually best to do it that way. The bump can be taken down and the tip refined. Be sure to see a rhinoplasty expert for consultation.

Yes, these concerns can be addressed together within the same surgical plan. When structural problems coexist, separating them rarely leads to the best outcome.
In this situation, nasal projection appears shorter than what would be ideal for overall facial balance, and the presence of a dorsal hump further emphasizes that imbalance. Simply reducing the hump without addressing projection would not create harmony, and focusing on projection alone would leave the profile incomplete.
For a balanced result, the dorsal hump needs to be reduced while projection is recalibrated at the same time, allowing the nose to sit in proportion with the face rather than looking shortened or compressed. This is not about making the nose smaller, but about restoring a natural flow between the bridge, the tip, and the facial profile.
Careful planning is essential here, as projection, length, and dorsal height are tightly connected. When they are adjusted together, the result looks intentional and stable rather than corrected in parts.

I see this alot in my practice. Unfortunately the majority of the time, insurance will not pay for any external changes to the nose which come secondary to trauma (ie deviation, bumps, asymmetries) outside of the initial 14 day window immediately after the trauma. However, insurance will often help pay for surgery if there are associated functional issues such as nasal obstruction secondary to septal deviation or weakened cartilages due to the trauma. These cases are often a combination of insurance (functional issues) and cosmetic (external issues).

Thank you for your question. You are an excellent candidate for rhinoplasty. I think it is one of the most beautifying surgeries that we do as plastic surgeons. A large portion of my practice is dedicated to rhinoplasty surgery. You can have your nose look much better and fix it from a functional standpoint. It is important to only see plastic surgeons with extensive experience in rhinoplasty, ie perform at least 6 per month and have performed hundreds of cases. Also, critically evaluate on-line galleries to see if their art form resonates with yours. Rhinoplasty is definitely a grey haired plastic surgeon's sport. Best wishes to you.

I would say the majority of rhinoplasty work that we perform has at least a small functional component, even if somebody feels that they are breathing well before we operate on them. Hey, if you have functional issue of the nose, then a septoplasty may need to be performed at the same time. But in terms of rhinoplasty, your nose can be projected more and the hump reduced.

Nasal surgery that involves breathing difficulties is usually considered medically indicated.
The fact that your nose was fractured previously it’s beside the point.
Often procedures can be done as part, cosmetic, and part insurance based if there are both an aesthetic and breathing issue.

Facial plastic surgeons or those with an ENT background may have slightly more experience with breathing related nasal problems.
