Referred to plastic surgeon by ENT - Nasal valve obstruction after Mohs. What procedure would this require? (Photos)

Question

Notes from ENT - "The nasal dorsum is straight and the right nare is narrowed due to what appears to be scar tissue from the Mohs surgery, the left nostril is widely patent. The mucosa is pink and there are no lesions or masses noted. Septum midline. Turbinates bilaterally hypertrophied." He referred me to a plastic surgeon and I'm wondering what I'm looking at. As a temporary treatment, I was given nasal dilators. I did ask a similar question earlier today but I didn't have the ENT notes yet.

We can see on the base view of your nose, that one side is narrowed. This is your external nasal valve. If it would need to be made wider, the technique of choice would be a lateral crural strut graft, composed of septal cartilage. The feasibility of this however would require an in-person consultation. Please meet with a physician who has many favorable before and after photos, along with positive consumer online reviews. Without in person evaluation it is difficult to give you good advice. However, based on this info from your ENR surgeon, allar cartilage graft(s), taken from your septum should be considered. Good luck.
