I have my surgery scheduled for June 5th. I have taken off work for 2 weeks. I work in a warehouse job where it gets VERY hot in the southern heat. I have to lift heavy things, and sweat daily. I usually work 8 hours a day on my feet, but I could also work longer. Would going back so soon affect my results?
Answer: Returning to work after rhinoplasty in my experience most patients can return to work after 7-10 days. Be sure to discuss your goals and concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon and consider the pros and the cons. Be certain your surgeon is properly certified. I've attached a link where you can start your search.

Answer: 2 weeks You have a good chance of getting back to work in 2 weeks , many things influence healing time such as having an open vs closed procedure ...returning to work also is dependent on how you feel after surgery , will you be mentally ready to show off your new nose?

Answer: Returning to work after Rhinoplasty Following Rhinoplasty I advise my patients to take 1-2 weeks off of work. After 2 weeks there are no limitations in activity, although I encourage avoiding contact sports for another 2 weeks. You should always follow the advice of your rhinoplasty surgeon. Best Regards, Dr. Weiss

Answer: Can return to your work in two weeks Hello. I recommend my patients take two weeks off after a rhinoplasty. After two weeks, you're cleared to work out and there are no restrictions on your activity. If you sweat a lot, or it's very hot where you work, this may extend the time of your swelling longer than usual, but shouldn't adversely impact your results. Bear in mind that if your surgeon did osteotomies, then you need to be protect your nose for at least 2 months. Even though you're cleared for all activities, it's wise not to engage in contact sports for two months to let the bones heal. Take care.

Answer: Please ask your surgeon I think you need to ask your surgeon what they expect of you with respect to your recovery. For my patients, I usually allow strenuous activity, including exercise and weight lifting, usually at 2 weeks. This also includes work related tenuous activity. The most significant risk of overdoing it is nose bleed. Which, if serious, could require packing. There really isn't any significant risk to the outcome of the surgery itself (from strenuous activity) but if a severe nose bleed were to occur, significant nasal packing could distort the shape of the nose. Make sure that you are not in a situation where something could fall or hit your nose. Ultimately it is up to your surgeon and what they advise for your post operative recovery.
