I just had ptosis surgery on my upper right eye lid, it's been 3 days since surgery and my eye is still droopywhen should I expect it to be fully correct? I posted a pic. Is this normal? Should my eye still be droopy directly after surgery? I just need some what of a insight or timeline on the recovery process.

Answer: Ptosis correction Its still too early to be able to comment on the result. Things are swollen and it will continue to improve over the next couple of weeks. You should have a good impression of the result after 6 weeks but it depends on what type of ptosis repair you had. It can take months to fully settle. See your PS for reassurance.

Answer: Swelling after eyelid surgery Thank you for your question. At 3 days post op your eye is still very swollen and that could contribute to the droopy upper eyelid. If you wait a week for the swelling to resolve the droopy eyelid should improve. It is a little unusual that your surgeon only corrected the ptosis on one lid. Most often we correct both lids during surgery
