How long for FUE hair transpant scars to recover? (photo)

FUE surgery is not a "scar-less" surgery.  It will leave hundreds or thousands of dots.  The redness will disappear over time.  If it persist, please see a doctor as soon as possible.  It may be an early sign of infection.

The scars from FUE are much less noticeable than from a traditional strip harvesting scar.  You should expect the sites to be fully healed after 7-10 days.  Typically they will continue to become less noticeable as your hair grows out.  eventually they will appear as pinpoint scars that are nearly imperceptible 

  The donor site holes should close within a few more days. Vaseline can speed up the process but is messy and they will heal without it. Each donor site will become a small scar devoid of hair. If you choose to let your hair grow they are difficult to detect. If you like to shave your head they are much less visible than traditional strip harvesting scars.
