I’d like to go from a B to a DD cup. My PS suggested a 300cc implant over the muscle but I don’t think it’ll be enough. He said that although I have enough tissue to fit a bigger implant, he doesn’t feel comfortable doing so as it would put me at a greater risk of contracting complications in the future. I’m 19, small framed, 163cm tall and weight around 58kg.
Answer: Implant and bra size If you are size 32 or 34, each 100 cc of implant corresponds to 1 cup size change. If you are size 36 or 38, each 200 cc of implant corresponds to 1 cup size change. 300 cc implants would take you up from a B to a DD, if you are size 32 or 34.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Will a 300cc implant get me to a DD Hello, thank you for your question. A board certified plastic surgeon will be able to guide you to the correct size of implants. Measurements of the chest wall and breast imprint width as well as knowledge of all breast implant sizes and profiles should make this process easy. Try on a profile bra with various saline and silicone cc sizers your PS recommends under a tailored blouse, tank top, bikini, workout clothes, and other garments you typically wear so that you have the best idea of whether the garments fit as desired with the implant selected. The space between your breasts is determined by your breast tissue, muscles, and breast bone. There is a limit to how close breast implants can or should be placed in order to have an overall good result. Your breast cleavage can improve with breast augmentation. Schedule an email, Skype or in-person consultation for proper evaluation.

Answer: Breast augmentation, 300cc Hello and thank you for your question. The best advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation. There are several advantages and disadvantages to over vs under the muscle. Under the muscle has the advantage of lower capsular contracture rates, less risk of rippling, and better visualization with future mammograms. Most patients say that under the muscle also has a more natural look and feel. The size, shape, and profile of the implant is based on your desired breast size/shape, your chest wall measurements, and soft tissue quality. This decision should be based on a detailed discussion with equal input from both you and your surgeon. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Answer: Implant size and type Dear Fierce8057, Breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery

Answer: Choosing the right size breast implants for you After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of former patients with similar measurements with different size and style breast implants. My patients tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what size breast implant is right for them.
