I had a septorhinoplasty around 6 months ago. The scar on my columellar never disappeared entirely but now I have a bump on it. Is it just acne or something else? Thanks

That can be a stich (deep, not removed resobrable stich??) or a small infected pustula around insicion. Topical antibiotic ointment or incision, drainage (per your surgeon) are options to be considered. Good luck.

Your surgeon may have used permanent sutures to reconstruct your tip, and occasionally they become superficial and need to be removed. This is an office procedure.

It wonder if you have a cartilage graft under there. If so you probably should have it removed which is pretty simple to have done

Hello! Thanks for the question and photos. It could be a suture granuloma. This is when suture remains and the body tries to get rid of it. The remedy is to explore the area for suture and remove it. If any pus is present, that can be removed, cultured, and the area thoroughly cleaned. Sometimes, a topical and oral antibiotic may be merited. I would let your surgeon know and see what needs to be done. Good luck and hope you heal quickly!
