I’m 24f. White. And my nose is weird. I haven’t seen any nose like mine operated on. My nose I like a beak from the side. And I have large nostrils, and my nose is kinda bent . I’ve seen pics on surgeons websites and they all look like easy noses they have fixed. I’ve been bullied by my weird nose and want to be rid of it next year. I’m just worried that it can’t be done. Advice would be nice. Thank you.
Answer: Rhinoplasty Hello! Thank you for your question. As far as I can see from your photos you have a hanging columella and very straight dorsum. For gain more proper, elegant and curved nose I recommend you open rhinoplasty. If you can provide photos with better lighting, from the front of your face and 1 meter away I would be able to make a proper evaluation. It would be more convenient to decide with face-to-face consultation. Best Regards!

Answer: What you should know about rhinoplasty Thank you for your question and photo. You appear to be a candidate for rhinoplasty to change the shape of the nose. During this procedure, the tip can be refined and the nostrils narrowed to create an appearance that is balanced with the rest of your facial features. Please keep in mind that rhinoplasty is one of the most complex of all plastic surgery procedures, requiring skill, experience, and even artistry to procure the best possible outcome. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon, with expertise in rhinoplasty techniques. They will be able to discuss your aesthetic goals with you and determine the best steps to help you achieve your desired result.

Answer: Rhinoplasty Hello! Thanks for the question. Absolutely, your nose can be operated on and improvements made. Based on your photo, downsizing your nose could help improve your facial harmony. This would be decreasing the projection and smoothing the profile. The nostril show could also be lessened. These would be nice changes to compliment your facial features. An open structure approach to rhinoplasty would be in your best interest. I would seek consultation with a Facial Plastic Surgeon well-versed in rhinoplasty. Hope this helps!

Answer: The issue with your nose is it's "projection." More ... Your nose is strong in its forward projection away from your face. That strong projection makes the nose appear prominent, and it pulls the upper lip a bit onto the bottom of the nose. When the nose is "de-projected", or brought back closer to the face, the nostrils should look less prominent as well. The woman in the link that I posted with this email had a strongly projecting nose that was brought back closer to her face during her rhinoplasty. How *much* to deproject the nose, or make other changes? We figure that out with morphs, well before surgery. I'd love for you to see some excellent professionally-designed morphs of what could possibly be done with your nose. Morphs could also help you identify better just what's bothering you, and help you set a goal for the rhinoplasty that's accurate for your tastes. (Side note: in my opinion, morphs should really be done by the surgeon, or he should direct an assistant as she makes the morphs. Morphs should be made with a constant eye to what actually *can* be done in surgery, for that particular nose, and the surgeon has that information and judgment best.) Remember that rhinoplasty is an exquisitely difficult operation to get right, and you should only have surgery if you are able to make yourself very confident in your surgeon's skills. The changes that your nose needs (mostly, the de-projection) require advanced techniques, and skill that most plastic surgeons don't possess with expertise. For most noses, it's much better to not have surgery than to have inexpertly-performed surgery. Read my essay on how to stay out of trouble while selecting a rhinoplasty surgeon. And it also discusses how to take photos that are best for online evaluations.
