Thank you for your question and photos. At 6 days postoperatively, you are still very early in your healing process. Swelling at this point in your recovery is to be expected. Every recovery is different but swelling is typically worst in the first couple of weeks and slowly subsides with time. Most patients feel they look normal by the 6-8 week mark , but it can take up to a year for your nose to heal completely. Best of luck with your recovery.

Nasal tip swelling can take a long to to resolve after rhinoplasty.  I typically tell my patients not to spend too much time looking in the mirror for the first couple weeks after rhinoplasty because it is easy to become discouraged by temporary inflammatory changes.  If you have concerns with your nose I always recommend addressing them with your surgeon.  

It is normal to have swelling after surgery and it can take a few days to reach a maximum.  This should begin to slowly resolve with time.  The tip tends to hold more swelling then the rest of the nose so try to be patient.  Best of luck.

Thank you for your query.Unfortunately the swelling is a sequelae of the procedure. The swelling may last anywhere from 12 months to 18 months.I would advice that you stay in contact with your surgeon.Kind regards

With any nasal surgery, the name of the game is patience. At one week, we would expect you to have quite a bit of swelling and bruising still noticeable and may have trouble breathing out of one or both nostrils. By the end of two weeks, typically, you will still be swollen but look more like you have a bad cold, rather than post surgical. Swelling can take up to a year to be completely gone, however, by 9 weeks you will look very good and should see big difference from your pre-op pics. 

Swollen nasal tip 6 days after surgery is very common after Rhinoplasty.  In fact, if you did not have some swelling, I would question if you really had surgery.  It will take weeks to months for the swelling to subside.  You will notice changes as time passes.  Stay in contact with your surgeon so he can monitor your progress.
