Will I have issues closing my lips together after a lip lift? My philtrum is about 20mm in the center and I plan to have a lip lift to reduce the length. At the moment my lips don't naturally close at rest. I have to very lightly strain to keep them closed, and it causes my chin to dimple very slightly.

Answer: Lip Lift in the setting of Lip Incompetence / inability to easily bring my lips together
You would be a candidate for a lip lift. A lip lift does 4 things: shortens the distance between your nose and upper lip, increases the mucosa of the upper lip, increases the incisor show and pulls up the corners.

The changes from a lip lift surgery are permanent. Generally, the smile is unchanged after surgery. Most patients show the same amount of teeth smiling after surgery as before surgery.
