I am 1 year post op from a mommy makeover. Although I'm pretty content with the rest of my results. I hate my belly button. My surgeon has tried kenolog shots for 6 months. Now he seems to not know what to do. Is there any doctors out there that have had experience with this and can help me?
Answer: New Belly Button I think that you can have a neoumbilicus (new belly button) created under local anesthesia and it will look very nice. I would stop using kenelog injections because it only makes things worst. A four flap umbilicoplasty is a very good option for you and will restore a very pretty belly button for you.

Answer: A revision is recommended for this followed by proper scar laser treatments Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis for most deep scars. The options available for acne scars depend on the character of your scars, in terms of topography and contour. We see atrophic and hypertrophic acne scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. We begin each scar evaluation with an assessment of scar quality and subtype. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus 8, scar subcision, fibrous release, fractional laser, CO2 laser, Thulium laser, PDL Vbeam laser, and fractional resurfacing can be used in addition to TCA Cross and chemical peels to further improve skin. Patients should start Melarase AM and Melarase PM for active hyperpigmentation. Always begin with a consultation to decide whether early subcision should be started.

Answer: Revision Belly Button Surgery Thank you for your question and pictures. This can be revised under a local anaesthetic, giving you a new belly button which is a better shape and pulled in looking more aesthetically pleasing. You will need to have regular follow ups after the revision surgery so if the scar starts looking hard and lumpy steroid injections can be used. Please consult a board certified plastic surgeon. All The Best

Answer: Thick scarring around belly button after tummy tuck It looks like you have hypertrophic scarring (abnormally thick scarring) of the wound around the edge of the belly button (umbilicus). The first line treatments are silicone gel and steroid injections. The good news is that these kinds of scars tend to flatten with time (2 years) even without treatment. Even once the scarring has flattened I suspect you will still find the small pitted appearance unsatisfactory, in which case a revision procedure may help. It is possible for the hypertrophic scarring to come back after a second operation so think long and hard before undergoing further surgery after consulting your surgeon. I hope it works out for you.
