Can I get my outie belly button removed and turned into an innie? (Photo)

Based on your photo you may have an umbilical hernia.  I would get this ruled out by a  surgeon before proceeding with cosmetic reduction of your belly button.   Hernia repair is usually considered medically necessary and may also improve the appearance of your belly button.

Umbilical hernia repair is a fairly quick and simple operation. It takes about 20 to 30 minutes and it's usually possible to go home on the same day.
However, some people stay in hospital overnight if they have other medical problems or if they live alone.

You have an outie belly button that can be repaired and made to an innie.  The umbilicus has a hernia .  You will need to fix the hernia and then I place several sutures to internally create an innie belly button.   I do  many of these. Best to see a board certified plastic surgeon.

Yes its possible for your outie belly button to be turned into a “innie” belly button. You should also have an ultrasound to be certain that you don’t have a hernia behind the button.  Every surgical procedure carries a risk but these can be minimised by selecting a fully qualified and experienced plastic surgeon.
