What are these shadows under my lips and is there a way to get rid/remove them? (photos)

For as long as I can remember I've had these shadows under my lips and I have no idea what they are. While I'm not particularly bothered by them they do make me feel self conscious at times so I would like to know if there's any way to get rid of them or to make the shadows a little more subtle.

These shadows are an inherent facial characteristic for you. If you wish to change this, an HA filler or Radiesse filler will fill them in and lift the overlying skin.  This is not a difficult or very painful procedure.All the best, Dr. Clark
