Are there any permanent lip fillers ?

I am planning on getting a syringe of juvederm lip filler in February but I know I will have the constant struggle of constantly getting fillers because it is not permanent. Are there any permanent lip fillers not implants, that can give me a natural permanent result? Or what is the most long lasting filler? I am 18.

Thank you for your question.  Fillers are not permanent however Permalip Implants are very safe, permanent and give a natural result.  They are performed under a local anaesthetic, with a downtime of approx 7 days due to bruising and swelling.  You can use cool packs to help reduce.  All The Best

Thank you for the question.  My bias is not to have permanent objects, (silicone, etc) in the face in general and the lips in particular.  Your face will change over time, and typically what you put in may have to be removed.  We have taken many implantable devices out of lips.  Some will do a nice job on the lip lift.  It is a surgical procedure, so it must be taken seriously.  My suggestion for now is to continue with the filler.  Best to see a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon or Otolaryngologist, (ENT).  They will help make a plan for you.

the only way to really have a permanent lip augmentation is to put in a lip implant or do fat transfer from a liposuction procedure. you can do silicone injections as well which is semi permanent but you do need to touch up. you may want to consult your doctor

Fat transfer or other tissue (e.g. dermal fat graft) which is more umpredictable and implants such as silicone or PTFE can be used for permanent lip augmentation.

Thank you for your question about lip augmentation.If you are considering something permanent, I do not recommend filler as it is not permanent.  Products that would offer "permanent" lip augmentation, other than a lip implant, are not safe or recommended.  I recommend a soft silicone lip implant. In general, it's best to avoid permanent lip fillers because your lips will change over the years. If there is any issue with the fillers, even years down the road, it is almost impossible to remove the filler completely if something permanent is used.At this time, certainly the best option for lip augmentation is to use temporary fillers. You can consider using fat grafting for a more permanent result, but just know that fat grafting doesn't always "take" as well in the lips.

Dermal fillers used for non-surgical lip augmentation will not be permanent, although they can provide long-lasting results. For permanent results, you may need to undergo a surgical lip augmentation procedure. It might be advisable to undergo temporary lip injections with fillers to see if you like the outcome before undergoing something more permanent.

For long lasting results u may consider medically pure silicone injections.  This comes with a caveat.   You must find a doctor with extensive experience using the micro droplet technique. Do not go physician who does not have extensive training and has used these type of injections for many years. I use it frequently and our patients are very pleased.   Find a physician in your area who has this expertise
