Hi I have hairless at my temples the rest of my hair is perfectly healthy its just I would like to get it sorted is there any home remedies that I can take to improve this as I'm still very young...

First, get a diagnosis.  It looks like androgenic alopecia, but make sure.Second, you are too young for any surgical solution.  Those that start loosing hair in their teens are usually the ones that have advanced degrees of hair loss.  Hair loss is progressive throughout your life.Third, see a dermatologist to see if you are a candidate for medical intervention.  This includes Propecia (finasteride).  May sure you are comfortable with the risk for side effects.Finally, consider topical minoxidil and saw palmeto to see if you can slow down the process.  These are available over the counter.  Get confirmation of the diagnosis first.

It is best to have an evaluation by a physician who specializes in hair loss.  The majority of hair loss with this pattern is due to androgenic alopecia also known as male pattern hair loss.  There are several options you can consider to slow down the progression of hair loss at your age.  Topical and over the counter remedies include the use of minoxidil although this is most effective for crown hair loss.  Other measures are those of starting finasteride which will need to be prescribed by your doctor.

At 19 with this degree of recession,. you are probably destined to bald significantly. Your biggest enemy is the
progressive thinning leading to a balding pattern that is not evident at this
point in time. The degree of thinning that you are showing would suggest that
you should see a doctor who most likely will get Bulk Measurements of your hair
to determine the degree of the thinning that you are presently having. If the
diagnosis is early genetic hair loss, then the best treatment would be the drug
finasteride which is highly effective in men of your age and may not only stop
the hair loss but possibly reverse it. If you are developing a more advanced
balding pattern the best test to get will determine the Bulk Measurements of
your hair and this will show, over a one year time frame, how effective the
treatment will be. Once you know this information, then you and your doctor
need to develop a MASTER PLAN which will define what you need to do over the
years to come.

Thank you for your question. Hair loss may be caused by a variety of underlying conditions or it may be an inherited condition. With that being said, Rogaine, or minoxidil, solution is an over the counter therapy used to treat hair loss, but noticeable results take at least 8-12 months of therapy. Also, if minoxidil is discontinued, then hair loss may resume. I highly recommend you consult with a dermatologist to evaluate you for any underlying conditions that may cause hair loss and to discuss treatments that are best suited for you.
