Chalazion removed 3 weeks ago - small hard bump still there. Will it go away by itself? (Photo)

Question

Hi! I had surgery to remove a champion on my upper right eye lid 3 weeks ago. It's a lot better now but I still have a small hard bump on the eyelid which is neither growing or subsiding. Should I go back to the doctor or is it just scar tissue that'll go with time? I use eye drops to keep the eye moist and wash the lid morning and evening with warm water.

You may have some scar tissue here that can form after the excision.  Try some massage and warm compresses for a few days.  If it doesn't resolve go back and see about a steroid injection to soften it.
