For a blue Temple vein what treatment is the permanent solution? Microphlebectomies? Sclerotherapy? Or External Yag Laser? The dilated vein is about 3mm thick on my temple. With Sclerotherapy, or External Yag Laser, Do the same veins return after a number of years? With Microphlebectomies, do new veins tend to grow back in?

Temple veins can be treated with combination microphlebectomy or sclerotherapy. The down side to microphlebectomy is very tiny scars. Down side to sclerotherapy is need for repeat treatments and hemosiderin staining. Microphlebectomy would cost about $2000. Touch up procedures will cost extra.

There is no permanent treatment for temporal veins as there is always a chance that veins anywhere can recur.  There are multiple options to treat these veins including sclerotherapy, IPL, fine needle RF, laser and microphlebectomy.  A 3mm vein may be best treated by sclerotherapy or microphlebectomy.  See a vein specialist.
