Invisalign is great for that because in the aligner we can put a pontic which is a fake tooth into the space that you have so when you snap in the aligner to straigten your teeth the gap will magically disappear. When you decide to have your tooth replaced then the pontic is removed...Its a great thing.

Another concern with swimming with them in is if you take in a lot of water. The aligners COULD trap the chemically treated water around the teeth and over time may affect the enamel. Swimmers teeth is common with competitive swimmers and could be worsened with aligners. Maybe.
It likely DOES matter, but I haven't seen a gap that couldn't be closed with Invisalign. It may take longer than desired, but gaps can be closed well.
While they won't be damaged, they also won't move. At all. Implants make great anchors for leverage, especially with Invisalign. Invisalign is a gentle process and won't damage the crown or implant.
But you'll need to retrain your lips to direct the flow of air into the mouthpiece. Its totally doable and shouldn't be a problem. I know saxaphonist that use invisalign but they are reed instruments.
The gaps will be closed by pushing the teeth together and pulling them back slightly. If anything it should give you a nice lip line that is more symetrical and when you smile your upper lip will not have a tendency to roll up over your teeth. I've always seen an improvement in lip line...
