7 months post-op, can you advise on injections for uneven nostrils? What are the risks? (Photos)

Both cartilage and fat are utilized to place tissue where there is a relative loss or tissue irregularity. Both will eventually, hopefully, vascularize and become a permanent part of the patient. However, in this respect cartilage has a bit of an advantage as it will revascularize a bit more reliably than fat since it is a bit more sturdy of a construct. That being said, the most important thing is the experience of your chosen board certified plastic surgeon, ENT, or facial plastic surgeon utilizing a particular construct.

Hello! Thank you for your question. From the photos you provided, I can say that even after 7 months you have a little bit swelling. Steroid injections maybe help with the swelling but cannot fix the nostril asymmetry dear. It can be correct with a revision rhinoplasty. Please keep in mind that %100 symmetry is not achievable in any case. If you can provide photos with better lighting, from the side of your face and 1 meter away I would be able to make a proper evaluation. Based on your photo, one nostril is a drop higher than the other. Depending on your condition, microdroplet Silikon-1000 nasal injections may be considered for achieving nostril lowering and a more symmetrical nasal appearance on front view. Hope this helps! Dr Joseph
