What can be done to minimize the appearance of alar base reduction scars around nostrils? 2 years post op (photo)

Please note I have tried micro needling, Mederma PM Scar gel and Scar away silicone gel. At this point I really need some adicional on what I can do next. (I am also 2 years post-op)

Based on the medical literature, dermabrasion is the treatment of choice for minimizing the appearance of nostril narrowing incisions. Please do your research widely since dermabrasion is not a frequently perform procedure anymore. Thank you for this excellent question. Sincerely, Dr. Joseph

I think you are a great candidate for an alar base reduction which can be done under local anesthesia. There are many different patterns for this procedure you might want to look at online

Based on your photos, your incisions at the base of your nose are barely visible. And this view is not terribly important since most people do not view you from this angle. In that regard, it may be best to just leave this area alone. I hope this helps. Sincerely, Dr Joseph

For lower blepharoplasty performed through the back of the eyelid (transconjunctival) surgery can be performed safely at any time as Accutane does not put you at any greater risk of scarring for this approach. For alar base reduction and alarplasty, 2 months is a sufficient interval to...
