I put on a treatment for acne called “clean and clear” advantage acne spot treatment, it uses 2% salicylic acid and it burnt my cheeks. I dont know what to do it hasnt went away. Its been 5 days. My skin is starting to peel.

For Optimum results for a salicylic acid peel, you may steam and clean the pores prior to peel. During Medical extractions you would steam , open the pores & Extract comedones and acne lesions. Then you may follow with a salicylic peel to clean excess debris from the follicles. I hope this...

Hi, I am sorry that you have developed this. Remember , chemical peels are always safe under a medical supervision irrespective of the indications. Skin lightening agents followed by a proper sun protection will lighten this hyper pigmented skin and may take minimum a months time. Good Luck.
