I have a lot of open comedones/ blackheads. Would it be advisable to get extractions done directly after a mild salicylic acid peel, to help clear up the congestion faster. Or would it leave my skin scarred since it's been through a peel

Hi, I am sorry that you have developed this. Remember , chemical peels are always safe under a medical supervision irrespective of the indications. Skin lightening agents followed by a proper sun protection will lighten this hyper pigmented skin and may take minimum a months time. Good Luck.
If you are using salicylic acid scrubs - sure, home use is great. If you are using salicylic acid peels at home, with a concentration that may not be accurate, it could be a little dangerous.
