I'm 3 months out still waiting for the bottom portion to fill out. When will my muscles relax? I am also having pain in right breast only. My muscles twitch and move the implants around. I can still feel them sloshing around.
Answer: When will my muscles relax after Breast Augmentation? 3 months is still fairly early after breast augmentation and your breast implants may drop further. However since you're having pain and muscle twitching I urge you to see your plastic surgeon for an examination and opinion. Ask your plastic surgeon if breast implant displacement exercises, muscle relaxants and possibly a superior pole wrap may help.

Answer: When will my muscles relax after Breast Augmentation? The chest muscles (or pectoralis muscles) are usually "tight" to varying degrees after subpectoral (under the muscle) breast augmentation from anywhere from 3 weeks to 3 months in general. This can depend on many factors including the make and size of the implant device that was selected as well as the "laxity" of your tissues before the procedure. In my experience, implants typically have "settled" for sure by 3 months after the procedure. If implants are still very high 3 months after the procedure then it is possible you may need a revision procedure for a malposition or possible early capsular contracture that may be causing the implant not to "descend" into place. Sometimes I have prescribed Singulair in my patients at this time and continued with bandeau straps and implant displacement exercises which I have found to be helpful. I would make an appointment, and discuss your concerns with your plastic surgeon. I hope this helps.

Answer: When will my muscles relax It can often take three to six months for implants to settle. It can take that amount of time for your body to grow more muscle and skin cells to accommodate the implants and for scar tissue to lessen. It is not uncommon for one breast to have more discomfort than the other- usually this will slowly subside. Hope this helps!

Answer: Muscle relaxation after breast augmentation If implants are placed underneath the pectoralis muscle it usually takes about 6 months for the muscle to fully relax and the implant to drop into its final position. It is not unusual for one side to take longer to settle than the other so try not to get too concerned and wait until you get to the six month timepoint - at that time you should revisit your surgeon to assess the final outcome.it is really common to experience unwanted breast movements when implants are placed under the muscle. This is one of the disadvantages of this pocket location and should be carefully considered when choosing the pocket. When implants are placed over the muscle they do not experience this unwanted movement, but there is more chance of experiencing palpable, or even visible, rippling.
