I am 10 weeks post op BBL, the banana fat pockets underneath look super weird. My surgeon said he didnt lipo that becauae he didnt want the fat to drop. But now I feel like it just makes my butt look like an old ladies. Help! What do I do? Because my surgeon says it's fine.
Answer: Banana roll after BBL If the banana roll persists 6 months after your surgery you may consider Coolsculpting to the banana roll area. Coolsculpting can cause some tightening of the loose skin that is found in the area as well as a bit of fat reduction. I have found that it improves the area without the risk of making your buttocks look more droopy which liposuction of the banana roll can do. I hope this helps and best wishes.

Answer: Buttock Infra-Gluteal Fold Laxity Thank you for your question and photos. I can understand your concerns. Although you have an excellent result from your BBL, the fold under the buttock is due to excess skin and not fat. Your surgeon was correct in that liposuction of that area would have caused a depression and further drooping of the buttock. That would not be recommended. It is not accurate to evaluate results without pre and post photos as well as a good physical exam. Having said that, additional fat transfer to soften the fold one the left may be helpful. Another way to improve your buttocks would be to perform a posterior thigh/buttock lift to re-define the infra-gluteal fold, get rid of the extra skin and get better symmetry. Unfortunately, this will come at the price of scars in the fold which could be visible in a swimsuit in certain positions. It would be a significant trade-off so you have to think about it carefully. An in person consultation is the only way to decide which of these options may be more beneficial for your case. I would recommend discussing both with your surgeon. I hope this information helps. Best wishes.

Answer: Skin creases/folds at the bottom of a BBL This is a difficult problem, and I suspect one that might have existed before your BBL but has been made more pronounced with the surgery. Often as women age, with gravity and weight changes, the bottom of our butt sags. This can cause hanging or can cause creases. Liposuction only worsens this effect, because it further hollows out the skin but doesn't tighten the skin, which makes it hang more. You could attempt to fill this region with fat, especially on the left where it is more pronounced, however this might not eliminate the fold and might also contribute to your butt looking saggy. The best way to reduce this is likely to excise the redundant skin, which would leave a scar that runs in your crease between your bum and your thigh. Unfortunately, this scar would be visible when you are bending over, but it would eliminate the fold and improve the appearance in clothing. I would revisit this area with your surgeon and take your photos so that you can be sure to point out your concerns. Good luck!

Answer: Banana Roll Lipo Thank you very much for your question, and for providing the pictures.I'm sorry you are having this experience. That area is notoriously difficult to do liposuction on, and I give your surgeon credit for being cautious. If your surgeon doesn't want to address it, you are more than welcome to consult with other surgeons. They may talk with you about liposuction to that area, or a surgical procedure to recreate a sharp buttock crease (if you don't mind a well-hidden scar there).
