If lacrimal gland prolapse is suspected, why would some doctors want to do a biopsy before resuspension (insurance covers)? Is it necessary to rule out medical causes? Is there any reason not to have the biopsy with the resuspension? Other doctors are saying it's purely cosmetic (insurance doesn't cover) and no biopsy needed so I'm confused. Want to have it done right. All doctors are certified ASOPRS doctors.
