Can you suggest an alternative to Finax tablet (finasteride)? I'm suffering from side effects.

Hello doctor I m Lalit . Last month a had hair transplant FUE and my doctor priscribed finax tablet every alternate day and nizral 200 twice a week. When i took finax it resulted in loosening of my body muscles, ligaments ,especially in stomach region. Also, i have a weak liver ( enzyme production ) . Kindly suggest me an alternative medicine for finax & nizral which would not affect my liver & muscles. If you need any other details, please let me know.

There are no alternative to Propecia (finasteride) if you are having side effects.  If you have side effects, it is best you discuss this with your doctor for other treatment options such as topical minoxidil.

If you are having side effects from this drug, you must see your doctor and find out what to do about it. No doctor will recommend something without examining you first.

There is nor alternative to propecia, however minoxidil also slows down the loss of the native hair. And it doe not have the same side effects.
