I got my cool sculpting procedure done on my abdomen and flanks. It has been two days now, I feel a mild pain whenever I touch the treated areas. I although am unable to do my daily running. It hurts everytime there is a jerk. Is it normal? Also my treated areas seem bloated. How long will it take to subside? When can I get back to my usual workouts and cardio?
Answer: You can resume cardio exercises as soon as you feel comfortable enough to do so. CoolSculpting® affects people differently. While many people have little to no pain or discomfort after being treated, others may experience some soreness for a few days afterward. Therefore, ease back into your normal exercise routine and be patient with yourself. Further, if you are still concerned about your reaction to CoolSculpting, reach out to the technician who administered the treatment for guidance.

Answer: Cardio After CoolSculpting? Your Body Lets You Know When It’s Ready
Every person reacts slightly differently to CoolSculpting — or any other procedure. Some people have no side effects or swelling at all and happily jump back into their workout routine on the same day. Others may feel bloated or swollen for a couple of weeks. For most people, those feelings diminish after just a couple of days. Your body will let you know when it’s ready to work out again. If you feel uncomfortable, just hold off. However, you don’t have to worry about negatively affecting your results if you do work out before your body feels completely comfortable. The fat cells that were killed during your procedure are on their way out of your body for good — but it takes 2 weeks for them to die and 6 – 10 more weeks for the body to clear them out. Wearing elastic shapewear and taking a mild pain reliever like Advil or Tylenol for 5 – 7 days will ease symptoms for now. Please find a board-certified dermatologist to administer your next CoolSculpting session to be assured of great results.

Answer: CoolSculpting and Cardio Minimal discomfort is completely normal after a CoolSculpting procedure. Treated areas can be tender to touch or swollen; sometimes a bruise may even form. Typically, these sensations resolve within a 1-2 weeks. Listen to your body and start your cardio when you feel comfortable. Best of luck.
